JAN 21, 2015 – What if looking for sockets to plug in and charge or just plug in were an unnecessary thing? What if all that was needed was in the palm of one’s hand? HandEnergy is a personal generator of endless energy meaning one can produce electricity anywhere they want or need. HandEnergy is a compact and easy device and its Irish development team has launched an IndieGoGo campaign to raise money for manufacturing and distribution of the device.
HandEnergy works on the principle of properties within a two-axis rotor gyroscope. Unlike the gyro, the end points of the axis of a HandEnergy are located in a circular slot. Spinning the ball, then rotating the HandEnergy enclosure around forces the side of the end of each axis against the sides circular slot, and combined with the resistance to having the axis rotated creates just enough “downforce” and friction to increase the rate of rotation of the interior ball.
Though fairly small in diameter, the ends of the don’t require a lot of angular speed to get the interior ball rotating fast. Magnets arranged on the circle of a rotor attract the inductor situated on the top of HandEnergy. Electrical juice hits the inductor and starts agitating the inductors within the magnetic field creating enough energy to charge a mobile device.
